My Royal Caribbean Cruise Adventure

On Board The Legends of The Seas

Omy have this contest where 40 bloggers will board the Legends of the Seas on a half day tour and blog to win a 5 day 4 night cruise.  I was one of the lucky bloggers who got selected to visit the cruise by the Royal Carribean International.

Seriously speaking, it’s been a very long time ever since I’ve been on a cruise.  Usually, I love travelling around different countries to explore places, food and have never like the feeling of being enclosed on a ship.  However, the visit to Legends of the Seas have proven me wrong and am so excited to set sail on the cruise!

Upon entering the cruise, I was greeted by a large hall which made me feel like I’ve entered a palace.  The high ceilings, white and gold interior decor with piano and violin playing at the background mesmerized immediately.

We were being broken down into smaller groups to tour around various parts of the cruise.  My group went to visit the sun deck first.

It is my first time ever on the sun deck of a cruise and I must say that it’s really a fantastic view from up here!  Can you see the cable cars hovering above me?

My group can’t resist to take a group photo over here.  Love all of you fun people!

This is probably the tallest point on the cruise.

The sun deck has lots and lots of sun tanning chairs all around for guests to use.  I just can’t imagine if this place is filled with people having cocktails, enjoying the sun… it’s just like a scene taken from a movie isn’t it?

For outdoor sports lovers, there is also a rock climbing wall up here to for you to work your body out!

If you’re not feeling too adventurous, there is a mini golf putting course here for you to enjoy with your friends and family.

Attention all singles out there!! You must visit the Caesar lounge as they will have matchmaking dance and programs here every night.  However, this is an exclusive area which is not included in the cruise package.  No harm forking out a little money and who knows you may meet the man/women you like?

This lounge is very intimate where you and your partner can enjoy the time all by yourselves.

I can’t resist taking a photo with the warm, friendly and nice staff on board providing the guests top notch service.

For those who love to stay indoors but yet enjoy the sun and water, there is an indoor swimming pool to have a great afternoon time.

Love to soak in the jacuzzi?  Here is it!

Besides just soaking in the jacuzzi, you may love to pamper yourself in their beauty center.  Don’t worry, their in-house trained professionals will ensure you look best for the night.

Besides the beauty center, there is a spa too so you can look great from head to toe!!

There a few different spa rooms which varies from twin or single rooms.  It is advisable to make bookings in advance for the spa so to avoid any disappointment.

For those who love to stay connected with your friends and family who are not on-board or check your e-mails, there is a cybercafe too where you can get connected to the internet.  Charges applies when you use it.

I guess everyone must be interested on how the room looks on the Royal Caribbean cruise.  I had the opportunity to enter one of the rooms with a sea view and this is how it looks like.

You may even request for room service and have breakfast by the sea!

Some people out there will be looking forward to the casino whenever they board a cruise in hope to make some fortune.  Just to take note, the casino on the Legends of the Sea is much smaller than of those on Star Cruise because it is themed more of a family cruise than a gamble cruise.

After a whole morning of touring around the Legends of the Sea, everybody is famished and can’t wait for lunch.  The restaurant have a very romantic name, Romeo & Juliet.

We were presented a 3 course menu with a few appetizers and entrees to choose from.

Red wine was served while a few of us are still deciding on the menu.  The wine is pretty smooth and light.

A few choices of bread were also served as a starter.

I had the Shrimp Cocktail Royal salad which has fresh and juicy shrimps in it.

My lunch partner, William had the Asian-Style Chicken Soup with huge dumplings.

Both of us shared the Chef’s Halibut and the Lamb Shank with Rosemary.

Finally for dessert, the Ivory Chocolate Fondue which I enjoyed the most.

It was a great experience on board the Legend of the Seas to tour around and changed my perception of cruise.  I had so much fun with all the fellow bloggers and I’ll definitely hope to go on a Royal Caribbean Cruise soon.  Cheers to everyone!
