Introducing ToTT, Singapore’s Kitchen Wonderland

ToTT, which stands for “Tools of the Trade”, is a brainchild of Sia Huat (South-East Asia’s leading distributor of quality industry tableware, kitchenware and foodware supplies) and has officially opened its doors to public on the 23rd October 2010.  Situated at Sime Darby Center along Dunearn Road, its massive kitchen wonderland spans over 36,000 square feet which is the largest center of its kind in Asia.

If you’re wondering why is ToTT so huge, that’s because it consist of a bistro, a cookbook corner, a children’s play area, a Bake & Go counter and a retail sector that carries exclusive cooking, baking and hosting-related merchandises.

Over here, it features a large range of culinary-related products and services, many of which are exclusive to the store.  From the eye catching Jamie Oliver products to the luxurious Epicurean culinary range, you can find it all under one roof.

The wide selection of culinary classes will either take place in ToTT’s state-of-the-art 12 counter hands-on cooking studio, or in its 64-seater demo studio.  The demonstration studio has televisions and cameras placed above the front counters, allowing participants to get up close with the cooking process.

Celebrity Chefs such as Sam Leong, look forward to working their magic with ToTT’s Gaggenau and Bosch appliances as they will be conducting special classes on a variety of culinary subjects.

These cooking studios can be reconfigured to create a private space, which can then be used to conduct private cooking/baking classes as well as corporate and teambuilding activities.

If you like to get your hands dirty and work on a recipe, you can learn from some of Singapore’s most established chefs such as Chef Milind Sovani from The Song of India, Chef Daniel Sia from The Disgruntled Chef and Chef Janice Wong from 2am:dessertbar as they share their culinary knowledge and expertise in their classes.  Best of all, you will be able to try on some of the kitchen appliances from Gaggenau and Bosch before making your purchase at the retail area.

The bistro at ToTT offers wearied shoppers a convenient place to relax, rest their legs or order small bites to fill their stomachs. Headed by the up and coming Chef Xu Tianmu with Chef Sam Leong as the consultant chef, food at the bistro is guaranteed to be a delicious affair.

Children, the young at heart and those who have a penchant for baking but with no oven at home will definitely take an instant appreciation to the Bake & Go corner at ToTT. Buy a tin of dough with customizable toppings, mix ‘em together, bake, and go in just thirty minutes!

ToTT is a place for everyone to nurture the culinary of young and old.  Over here, I’m sure you will find some kitchen appliances which you love or maybe a fun filled culinary class with the renowned chefs in Singapore.
