World’s 1st New Zealand Natural Cafe launched at Nex Serangoon

Commemorating 10th Anniversary in Singapore

I am sure that everyone in Singapore would have heard of New Zealand Natural’s premium brand of ice cream which have been around for 10 years.  New Zealand Natural have been staying true to its brand name by using the freshest and purest New Zealand dairy products and ingredients in its ice-cream.  Their ice cream are rich, wholesome with no colouring or gelatine throughout these years.  

To commemorate its 10th anniversary here, New Zealand Natural have launched their world’s first cafe at the new shopping mall at Serangoon Central, Nex.  The idea was inspired by the spirit and energy of Auckland’s trendy Ponsonby Road cafes and restaurants.  This cafe will offer Singaporean’s a slice of the unique New Zealand street food and cultural.

It was a great pleasure for me to celebrate New Zealand Natural’s 10th birthday at this very special occasion to mark their grand opening of their first cafe at in Singapore at Nex.  At the event, some of their menu items were presented for us to taste.

Even the drinks here are organic and from New Zealand too!  I was recommended by the services staff to try this and I love the combination of apple with guava juice.

Soon, the chef served us the delicious food and also told us a little about each of the dishes.

My favourite wrap will be this Mediterranean style with Salami, Bell Peppers, Basil Pesto, Mozzarella and Kalamata Olives.  Perhaps I have a more unique palate but I love the combination of Mediterranean ingredients wrapped up within the tortilla.

My favourite sandwiched served will be the Grilled Steak Sandwich on Ciabatta with Onion Confit, Tomatoes, Romaine Lettuce, Roasted Mushrooms & French Mustard.  I simply can’t resist the mushrooms with the tender grilled steak garnished by the other condiments.  This sandwich is simply perfect for meat lovers!

What a hearty soup with loads of vegetables and chicken in a delicious broth.  This Chunky Vegetables & Chicken Soup with Shallots is a perfect soup with a balanced combination by it’s own.

How can we miss out on the cake as it’s New Zealand Natural’s 10th anniversary?  It is a historical moment as the boss of New Zealand Natural and the chef cuts the cake together to mark the opening of the world’s first cafe. 

Happy 10th anniversary to New Zealand Natural!  The chocolate sponge layered cake with almond flakes and topped with a selection of fruits.  Desserts were served to conclude the wonderful evening.

My favourite dessert will be this Manuka Honey Sundae ($8.90) with walnut disc, melon seeds and finger biscuit on it.  I find that it’s a very unique and appetizing as I love this for its interesting use of melon seeds on the tantalizing Golden Manuka Honey ice-cream.

If you have a sweet tooth like me, you will definitely love the Ice Cream Sampler ($15.90) with four marvellous flavours presented in one go.  The flavours are Hokey Pokey, Mint Choc Kisses, Chocolate Fudge Brownie and the Strawberry Surprise.  I have an expectional liking for the Mint Choc Kisses as it gives a chilling kick of freshness in the mouth.

How can bloggers resist taking photos?  Wrapping up for the night, we had a group photo with the boss of New Zealand Natural.
