Singapore Sling® Boutique Introduces Its Fusion Food Menu
The Iconic Flavours of Singapore meeting the West
If you have visited the bars in Singapore or even overseas, do not be surprise to find the drink “Singapore Sling” on the menu. Do you know that this signature cocktail was created by a Hainanese-Chinese bartender from Raffles Hotel by the name of Mr Ngiam Tong Boon in the early 1900’s? That’s right, the Singapore Sling have been around for about a decade!

After the first Singapore Sling was created in the early 1900’s, Mr Chow Hoo Siong, current CEO of True Heritage Brew, spent lots of time to refine the taste of the Orient’s most famous cocktail tirelessly and perfected it in 1985. In 2004, True Heritage Brew (Singapore) produced the Singapore Sling in classic, elegant bottles for sale in various hyper-marts and convenience stores.

As the reputation of Singapore Sling grew internationally and to meet the demand for this exotic drink, the premium ready-to-drink concoction is made readily available to those who love to savour the national drink of Singapore.

At the Singapore Sling boutique, they have come out with a spirited drink with the original tantalizing tropical taste. The freshly concocted True Hertiage Brew Singapore Sling ($17.00) is an internationally acclaimed cocktail. Mixed with cool and refreshing pineapple juice, this cocktail gives you a full experience of Singapore. Don’t you just want to have a glass of it, sit back, relax and enjoy the sights of our wonderful sunny island?

It’s time for some pasta to go along with your glass of Singapore Sling. Don’t expect Carbonara or Bologniase spaghetti over here as those aren’t our local dishes. When the east meets the west, the Black Pepper Crab Spaghetti ($14.80) is what you will find over here. The mild black pepper will gently tickle your taste buds for those non-spicy fans out there. Served along with two succulent tempura soft shell crabs, it’s double the enjoyment.

If you’re an adventurous eater looking for a more thrilling dining experience, the Chilli Crab Spaghetti ($14.80) is what you need to satisfy your fiery taste buds. Topped with chilli crab sauce prepared by the chef, you will be totally “wowed” by the signature food of Singapore; the ever popular Chilli Crab. The spaghetti is accompanied by two tempura soft shell crabs too, you’re definitely in for a delish meal.

When you have soft shell crabs with spaghetti, how can you not have it with one of the world’s favourite food, pizza?! The Chilli Crab Pizza ($14.80) is surely set to send waves of excitement on your palate when you sink your teeth into the crispy thin crust. This mouth watering pizza together with the amount of juice in the chilli crab is sure going to thrill your senses. Don’t forget to prepare serviettes to wipe your mouth after that!

Most Singaporeans are huge fans of seafood and this Singapore Sling Pizza ($14.80) topped with prawns, baby clams meat, crab meat and pineapple will be an irresistible delight. With all those tender seafood on a crispy thin pizza topped with cheese, what more can you ask for? Even I can’t wait to dig into it!

If you like to try out pizzas with an exotic local flavour, this Lamb Malasa Pizza ($12.80) will be a perfect choice. The spicy minced lamb and onion rings topped with tomato sauce and cheese is another new item on Singapore Sling’s food menu. Talk about fusion, this is one unique pizza which is worth a try.

The Tandoori Chicken Pizza ($12.80) is another fusion pizza on the menu. Instead of having spicy minced lamb, it is replaced by the tandoori chicken cubes.

Coming to desserts, unfortunately Singapore Sling boutique do not have any fusion desserts. However, the Chocolate Lava Cake with a scoop of all natural New Zealand vanilla ice-cream ($7.50) will be a sheer delight to send you on cloud nine. The piping hot chocolate lava within the moist and warm outer layer of the cake eaten with the ice cold vanilla ice-cream, the sensation of it is seriously beyond any words to describe!
