Royal Caribbean Cruise: My Adventure on The Legend of the Seas (Day 5)
Day 5: Goodbye the Legend of the Seas
6:45am: *ring ring!!* My phone alarm woke me up. Reluctantly, I got up from bed and looked out of the porthole sheepishly.

“Sigh, we are back at Harbourfront Center.” I told my roommate, Yee Leong. We were feeling upset and wish that this cruise could have been longer. With no time to waste, I quickly prepare and head out for breakfast with other bloggers and Omy team for breakfast.

It was a very sombre breakfast as some of us had little sleep from the late night chat. Some of us were feeling seasick, some of us were busy catching up with their work and friends as we finally receive Singapore mobile signal.

This was the last meal I will be having on the Legend of the Seas. The scrumptious breakfast prepared by all the kitchen staffs on board are a luxury to me as I don’t get such delish breakfast the moment I wake up at home.

Also to mention, the fresh fruits platter which made me feel that I’m dining like a king on the Legend of the Seas. It was truly an awesome dining experience for the past 4 days with the restaurant’s service staffs taking care of us so attentively with their cheerful and friendly attitude.

We enjoyed our breakfast slowly so to stay a little bite longer on the Legend of the Seas. However, very soon we will be disembarking on Singapore ground and return to our daily routine.

I can’t bear to leave this ship with all the friendly staffs and the friendship fostered between everyone of us. I told myself, all the good things will come to an end. All the timeless memories, joyous laughter and fun moments together. We will have to part from here after checking out from the Legend of the Seas.

My mind was in a fury, I didn’t know how to cope with this unbearable feeling but my body is just moving to the check out area at the immigration counter. Before I know, I was at the arrival hall at Harbourfront Cruise Center with my roommate, Yee Leong…
Special thanks to…

It’s my first time meeting him for this cruise and it was great knowing such a cheerful and helpful friend who never fails to amuse me with his photography skills. Yee Leong, if you’re reading this, I have a fantastic 5 days with you as my roommate and it was really a great pleasure knowing you. I hope I can go travelling with you again in future and take nice photos together!

Cherie, thanks for being my travel partner for KL and Phuket! There’s so much memorable moments like going to the Cocoa Boutique in KL and trying all the exotic chocolates and venturing into Little India looking for saree and nasi brayani. Not forgetting the long and hot trip in Phuket going up the tallest peak and the Thai massage! I really enjoyed the land tours with you as you always make my day with your witty jokes.

Our favourite assistant waiter, Dong Biao, who served us dinner every night at table 47 at Romeo & Juliet restaurant. Even though this will be the last voyage working on Royal Caribbean before he return to China, his service attitude was still so overly positive at 110%. He was very attentive, sincere and friendly when serving us and even proactively went to get honey for Cherie when he learn that she was having a sore throat. I’m not sure if you will read this… but thanks so for taking good care of us to ensure that we enjoy our dinner.

Another Royal Caribbean staff who left a deep impression in me was my statement attendant, Ericsson from Philippines. He is a very responsible and friendly attendant who never ever pull a black face even when cleaning up my room. Once, I overheard that he got scolded by his superior but he still turn back to smile and greet me. I felt very bad and the least I can do is to return the smile and greeted him to cheer him up.

Every single day and night without fail, there will be a towel folding of an animal in our room done by him. I really felt more comfortable than home and extremely love the personalized and attentive service he have provided during my 5 days stay.

With all the friendly smiles, warm gestures, helpful and hilarious Royal Caribbean staffs on board, I wish that I could stay longer on the cruise to get to know them better. With the high level of pride they take in their work to provide guests with a comfortable stay, I must really say a big big “Thank You!” to every single one of them. Although I can’t remember some of their names, their smiles and the experience I had will always remain in my memory.

To conclude this little tribute to the Royal Caribbean staffs, I would love to thank the wonderful captain for this safe and memorable cruise adventure. It’s truly an once in a lifetime experience to get up close with a captain on Captain’s Night and also to visit the bridge where he works.
