Sexy, Sensational Sweet Treats

Wouldn’t it great to have something sweet and pretty to indulge and not think of anything?  Don’t even about how fattening the sweet treats are or your waistline after that.  However, I can’t help but wonder who that brilliant person who created desserts is.  No doubt that person must be a godsend to so that we can have a taste of heaven.

Food Review: Jtown Cafe, Midpoint Orchard

Savour the Street Food of Jakarta Town

There’s actually a little Jakarta town in the heart of Orchard Road.  I’m not exactly referring to Lucky Plaza if you’re thinking of that.  It’s actually Jtown Cafe which is pretty well known as Cafe Kota Jakarta among the Indonesian community here in Singapore although it’s been around for less than a year.

Conveniently tucked at the basement 1 of Midpoint Orchard shopping center (just across the road from 313 Somerset), you will be able to find Jtown Cafe.  Upon entering the basement of the humble looking Midpoint Orchard, you will be welcomed with a cozy, warm and comfortable ambiance at Jtown Cafe.

Food Review: Around De World, Liang Seah Street

A Globetrotting Affair with Pasta

Travel down Liang Seah Street not only for steamboats and China desserts but also Around De World with a pasta affair.  This cosy, hip and young looking restaurant have been around for about 2 months but do not underestimate the food served here.

Led by Chef D who graduated from Le Cordon Bleu, he has created his own unique style on the menu but at the same time, satisfying your taste.  Having experimenting and travelling to different countries to learn about their culture and flavours, you will be “wow” by his selection of fusion pastas.

Food Review: EwF by Everything With Fries, Orchard Central

Popping by for Corn Nuggets

I am back at Everything With Fries Takeout (EwF) once again at Orchard Central. Previously, I was here for a food tasting session to try out their burgers, French fries and some their desserts.  However, this time I was here for an impromptu visit to check out a new item on their menu.

That’s right!  If you have been to EwF at Orchard Central or have heard it from them on Twitter recently, you might have noticed the Corn Nuggets on the menu which was introduced in mid August.  It’s quite a common homemade snack in the US but it’s the first time that I’ve heard of it here in Singapore.

Food Review: Mad Jack Cafe, PoMo

Good Value For Aussie Inspired Food

Mad Jack Cafe have been around since 2005 with its first outlet located at Bukit Timah.  Their main specialty is in Australia food but they do also serve up fusion food with a local touch.  During that time, many people rave about their Fish & Chips being really good.

With so much past ravings and features of Mad Jack on various media, I couldn’t help but wonder how good exactly is their food?  I decided to drop by Mad Jack for dinner to have a taste of their food, especially their Fish & Chips.

EwF (by Everything with Fries): Fries on the Fast Route!

If you have heard or tried Everything with Fries located at Joo Chiat Road or Lorong Mambong, here’s the third installment serving you faster!  If you have not tried it before, here’s the good news!  They have finally came to town with a fast food concept known as “EwF”.

As the short and sweet name “EwF” suggest, it is a fast food concept restaurant by Everything with Fries.  Instead of having appetizers, soup and main course like their other two outlets, the menu have been simplified to those found in fast food restaurants.
