Last Friday, Chef Peter Augoustis, Creative Chef of Crust Pizza, was in town to launch 2 new healthier pizzas in collaboration with The Lions Club of Singapore to support the elderly with a charity drive.  He has won the International Championship at the Pizza Expo in Las Vegas in 2007.  Under Chef Peter’s directions, six of his pizzas have won the Australian National Heart Foundation Tick of Approval for its low saturated and trans-fat, sodium, and high fibre content.

Café Pralet: A Nostalgically Hidden Cafe

Tucked beneath the rows of shop houses at the old estate of Tiong Bahru, lies Café Pralet by Creative Culinaire.  Situated next to each other, Café Pralet is a casual dining cafe set up by Chef Judy in July 2007.  Her purpose of opening this cozy cafe is to demonstrate the practicality of what they learnt in class.

Recently, I visited Café Pralet with 2 of my friends for dinner and noticed the “Healthier Choice” logo awarded by the Health Promotion Board.  Therefore, it’s good news for people that are health conscious as there are various dishes such as the Low Calorie Laksa, Aglio Olio and the Roast Chicken Salad with that logo to choose from!
