I was invited for a food tasting session by KFC to try out their new Roasta Burger yesterday. I’m sure many of you have seen the ad island-wide or the TV commercial promoting KFC’s first-ever roasted chicken burger.
KFC started way back in 1939 with the Original Recipe (OR) chicken and it have been so popular since then. By creating history and keeping up with the trend, KFC have come out with a new roasted sensation. Let’s take a look at how the Roasta Burger fare in a round of food tasting.

Yesterday, I attended the Häagen-Dazs Singapore cocktail menu launch party held at Clarke Quay Central Fountain. Singapore is the first country in Asia to introduce their brand new cocktail menu and we were invited to try.
The cocktail menu is available exclusively at Häagen-Dazs’ Clarke Quay Café outlet. It consists of 5 unique concoctions which includes their signature ice-cream cocktails, sorbet-blended cocktails and liqueur coffee.

Five years ago, the number of places that served good coffee in Hong Kong could barely be counted on one hand. Now you’d need to grow a few extra hands just for all the decent new places. Last year, TVB star Moses Chan hosted a show about coffee and published a fun guide to Hong Kong cafés, sparking mainstream interest in the black stuff. It now seems that more Hongkongers than ever are demanding something with more character than the swill served up by Starbucks and Pacific Coffee.
That call has been answered by nearly a dozen new coffee shops that have opened in the past year. The best of them pay serious respect to coffee by serving only fresh-roasted and freshly ground beans, distinct blends and single-origin roasts. It’s a new era for coffee in Hong Kong. If you have heard or tried Everything with Fries located at Joo Chiat Road or Lorong Mambong, here’s the third installment serving you faster! If you have not tried it before, here’s the good news! They have finally came to town with a fast food concept known as “EwF”.
As the short and sweet name “EwF” suggest, it is a fast food concept restaurant by Everything with Fries. Instead of having appetizers, soup and main course like their other two outlets, the menu have been simplified to those found in fast food restaurants.
